Would you return or complain about this? A custom ring - 14k gold. Its little pin pricks the whole way around the bezel. Not visible to the eye but can see when zooming in with camera and with a 10x loupe.
I think I ruined my ring. Pool was super chlorinated to clear up algae. I wasn’t swimming, but was brushing the pool. Wet hands. Recessed areas in the ring possibly acted as little reservoirs that held a drop of water. Now discolored. I’m super sad. This is a brand new custom piece. If I had known better I never would have had it on while I was sweeping the pool. First pic is before - it wasn’t mirror finish polish inside those spaces to begin with, but now it’s more rough and rust colored.
I had this OEC put into this custom setting. I wanted a vintage type setting to go with the vintage stone. I do like it and think it’s really nice and well made, but I keep thinking now that I should have put it on just a regular thin band! Part of my thinking was bezel = safe and comfortable (it is! It doesn’t catch or snag on anything!), and the wide shoulders sort of conceal the diamond a little bit. I’m not really a flashy person and when I tried on some more classic style rings with similar sized stones (1.75 carat) it felt like it was screaming “look at my giant
diamond!” Idk?? What do you all think?
