How likely to get a technical warrant packet waiver?
Hello All, been wanting to join the military since I was in college and did army rotc, but now I’m getting up in age so have been looking into national guard and air national guard. I mostly completed a comp sci degree except one class and ended up working full time and not graduating. have been working in data and AI companies since and have a TS clearance and sec+ cert and wondering if this civilian experience would allow me to drop a warrant packet shortly after finishing 25b AIT. I checked with my state WOSM for direct appointment 170a but he said he has never seen that done and they only have 1 slot. I would like to get 17c but as expected seems there are no units with slots in my state only 25b so wondering if it’s a difficult process to essentially drop a packet asap for National Guard? Or if I should just look at enlisted side for air national guard instead.
