Can't do it

So I did my sleep study. They said I was having 27 events an hour.( I guess that's bad) I went back a week later for my second to be fitted for a mask, less than a week after that I am at home with my new CPAP machine with a variety of masks(nose pillow, nose mask, full face). I tried to use it every night for four week. During that entire time I didn't sleep more than four hours a night. I can not get used to the air being forced into me, also the pure force it took to exhale. I told my DR. and the pressure settings were lowered but to no avail it still didn't work. I would put the mask on and lay in bed for hours until I physically couldn't hold my eyes open just to fall asleep. Within a couple hours I was awake and just be mad. This continued for a bit, eventually I dreaded to go to bed and even being in my own bedroom. My wife is scared to death I am going to die in my sleep so I kept with it. I became a very ill person in the morning due to the lack of sleep, my family was even keeping there distance. I was told it would get better to just stay with it and I tried, lord I tried. But I can't do it. It was easier to quit smoking than to use this thing. Congrats to the people who can do it, but I can't.

Want to add I wasn't sleeping bad before my study, or have a lack of energy or anything similar. I am a very active individual and go ti the gym a coupke times a week.I was sent because of my blood pressure. I am going to blame genetics.
