Hi all,

I’m a fairly new owner to a 2004 325ci (198000ks) and i recently had some problems with the car not starting in the morning but starting perfectly fine in the afternoon. i took it to a shop and they replaced the fuel pump but the next day i went to start it and it long cranked again but eventually started and my battery light was flashing in idle but goes away while driving. just wondering how i can decide if i need to replace just the voltage regulator or the whole alternator and how i can find out what alternator i have thankyou :)

I was driving home after the gym where i posted this and the car started and then died about 3 times before finally going in which it drove fine with no battery light
