Intake hose question
Was doing my idle control valve today and noticed my intake hose was all ripped up and dry so i’ve been looking around to find one and i notice a decent amount of reviews of people with 2005 330i’s saying it doesn’t fit.
are they just putting it on wrong? should i bite the bullet and just get it? it says guaranteed fit but apparently not for some people.

My project 325i
This is my project car I’ve had for about a year now, it’s put me through a lot so far with replacing the cooling system, driveshaft Guibo, and a ton of gaskets😂. I’m trying to get the hood paint matched soon and fix some other little body work. Any suggestions on what I should do with it next?

I spent 4 weekends turning my 2003 E46's Android head unit into a proper digital cluster (looking for a few beta testers)

Long-time BMW guy, first time posting something I made.
Been driving a 2003 E46 for a while, and got tired of the fact that no aftermarket Android head unit does justice to the car's actual data. So I spent four weekends reverse-engineering my E46's I/K-bus and built a proper VFD-style digital cluster app for those cheap MTK 8227L head units.
It's called NaviDash. Plugs into a standard K+DCAN FTDI cable, talks DS2 directly, no root. Reads live DME data (RPM/speed/temps/timing/fuel trim/O2/etc.), all four wheel speeds + RPA tire pressure from the DSC MK60, body status (doors/windows/locks/mirrors), climate state, VIN, service, DTCs. PDC parking radar overlays on the reverse camera.
Every telegram verified byte-for-byte from BMW's own SGBD/PRG files. No guesswork.
Looking for 5-10 honest beta testers with an E46 (or E39 — should work), an MTK Android head unit, and a K+DCAN cable. Free APK, free activation, direct line to me for feedback. 4-6 weeks of real-world use in exchange for honest bug reports.
What it doesn't do (yet): no DSP control (I-Bus App does that better), no lighting coding, LTFT and gear position are partial. Being honest about limits.

Alarm system
I'm wondering if there is an easy way to tell if my car has an alarm system without ripping up the interior, the clown nose blinks when I lock the doors but I don't have the chirp when I lock/unlock the car. I checked to see if there was a fuse for the alarm horn blown but I didn't see a designated alarm fuse in the glove compartment any insight would be appreciated

Is it worth saying her?
Got the opertunity to buy this manual e46 330ci for 3500$~~ it’s one of verryyy few examples in my country and is estimated to be worth 14000$ if it’s rust free and without problems, its got 220k km on the dash. Obviously i will have to o loadsss of rust repairs, stage 0 the cars, reinforvce the rear subframe probably gonna have to change many body panels and wrap the car to restore it to its former glory. But i just cant decide if its worth it😭

M3 Style Front Bumper
Style 350M rims (Front 225/40R18 Rear 245/40R18)
New Headlights and taillights (taillights LCI)
Silbergrau Metallic Paint
The build so far has come a long way, still needs an M54 with a 5 speed or 6 speed manual transmission, but thats for phase two. Hope you like the result (before picture last)

What do you guys think about this 330ci 2002? Should I buy?
Sorry for the weird image linking, couldn’t figure out how to share it properly.
It is a bit pricy, but that’s the aussie car market for you, it’s a round bout 16,000aud which is 11,000usd but I could get it way down.
Edit: forgot to add that it has 240,000km or about 150k miles but I talked to the guy and he said he did most of the engine work about 1500km ago (1000miles)

Auto-dimming rearview mirror retrofit
So I have an E46 318i with a lot of basic interior features and I want to retrofit an auto-dimming rearview mirror. When I went to the junkyard I found 2 auto-dimming rearview mirror, the difference between the two is that one has 3 cable and the other has 5 cable.
What are the differences between those two? (I don't know if those mirrors belong to the E39 or E46 because both models has the same-looking mirrors and its the mirrors without the clown nose)

Bmw e46 Bluemusic Adapter
Quick question: I’ve got the Alpine CD53 Business CD player, and I’d really love to play some music. But I’m not sure if it works properly or if it’s any good. I heard that after 2–3 weeks it can drain the battery, and I really don’t want to pay €250 for a new battery. Can y'all help me out? I don’t know if I should buy it yet or not
