this is my 2005 330ci coupe, so far done coilovers, wheels, done 90% of suspension. did a zhp 6 speed complete manual swap, driveshaft, trans, rear diff, radiator and cooling lines etc. still have more parts to throw on. still have leaks to fix lol. have to redo my rear main seal, have to swap out my clutch release bearing because i trusted a cheap ebay one, already have an oem replacement, also have a chassis mount shifter to throw in. also have to replace the power steering reservoir and lines. work in progress every day.

Finally restored my foggy headlights they came out so damn nice was on the verge of buying a aftermarket one if this didnt come out good 🙏🏼

Hey guys. My sister smoked a rock with my e46. Damage seems to be contained to the radiator and lower coolant pipes and engine fan. Will be taking it apart to see if anything else got wrecked. Do we think it’s worth fixing. Already 3500 into this car. Engine did not over heat or anything decided to piss all the coolant out once she got it back ti my house

Engine is solid with only 108k miles

For context I always felt like my car was missing something like it was a little uglier than it should be but couldn’t really figure it out. I have factory m tech 1 kit and I know this because I still have the original build sheet from the dealer, but I just noticed that there’s no m tech rear bumper and I’m realizing that id love my car a lot more with it.

I never really cared about the m tech kit, I actually prefer the aero package but I can’t believe I’m missing this. I do think it’d make my car look better if I had this bumper tho, I’ll now be on the look out

Seems like my cluster decided to shit the bed today.
Is this worth attempting to repair with a new eeprom? Or is this potentially ribbon related? Maybe better to get one from the junkyard and virginize it so the vin matches?

Hey all !

After 6 months of hard work, overhauling the whole suspension (whole rear and front) and the engine, I finally got to ride my 1998 E46 323i !

The pleasure however didn't last long because after a couple of accelerations at high RPM, my ATF cooler blew off.

My question is : how to avoid this happening again ? Because when plugging the ATF cooler back into the expansion tank mounting bracket, and engaging the clip, I felt like the clip wasn't holding much (and it looks like my intuition was right). Are there any well-known ways to attach it more firmly ? Zip ties ? Hose clamps ? This could help other people since I've seen numerous other posts about the ATF cooler falling.

I installed the stage three clutch backwards and drove on it for 100 miles.

When I first put the transmission on, it didn’t slide in all the way there was a small gap and I thought it was fine so I just tighten the bolts and basically pulled the transmission flush with the engine with the bolts, which is not what you’re supposed to do.

I pulled the the transmission, it came out fine. The clutch doesn’t look damage, there is just a tiny bit of shavings around where the input shaft goes like the edge just needs to be deburred. There is also a little bit of shiny black dust on the pressure plate.

Should I reuse this clutch or should I just get a new one? I can just order the same one again, clutch and flywheel for $300. This is for cheap drift car

Hey guys, any idea what this knocking noise could be when I press the clutch while the car is sitting still?
No other symptoms, gears go in fine and there’s no grinding when shifting.
I already know the flywheel needs replacing since it’s making some noise, but I was wondering if this could be related to it. It doesn’t really sound like it’s coming from the flywheel though.

Well I finally decided it’s time to put my headliner back in but I forgot what goes where, it seems there’s 2 variations for the ceiling handles and there’s only 2 of them in 1 shape, so I’m assuming there’s a front and back. I also don’t know what screws go in for the visors and handles. I’ve been looking all over the place to see if there’s anything tutorial wise I can find to back track in steps but I’m not finding anything helpful.

I’m trying to tune myself a ghost tune and researched over at ms4x.net and did all my idle vanos like there’s and my car won’t ghost cam. Also my car is making this rattling noise and I’m not sure what this is. If someone could help with both that would be awesome.
