Ever since his surprise counterpick that won him Supernova 2024, Sparg0's Roy has been a monster of a Sonic slayer, still undefeated against Sonix, Wrath, KEN, and Kurofune.
Which is especially surprising since even dedicated Roy mains like Kola and Ataru have struggled against the Sonics.
What is it about Sparg0's Roy that is so powerful? And is it really of no use in any other matchup?
I recently made a post asking whether a fighter heavier than even Bowser could be added, and one of the most popular answers was Snorlax.
Though I was skeptical that Snorlax would be introduced as his own fighter, he has an argument. Snorlax leans into the "I'm slow but big and heavy" archetype even more so than Bowser, since the latter is something of a lightning bruiser (his dash is faster than Mario's). King Dedede and King K. Rool also lean into being slow and heavy, but the former compensates by wielding a hammer, and the latter wields his crown and a blunderbuss (and is also resilient by virtue of being armored, rather than merely heavy).
Snorlax, who lacks armor or weapons, would lean entirely into the slow and heavy archetype. However, it also seems unlikely that Nintendo would add him... but then I saw another post suggesting more Pokémon Trainers than the one we have.
And then I realized: the original canon team for Red in Gold and Silver, besides the three Kanto starters, is Pikachu, Espeon, and Snorlax!
What if Smash 6 split Pokémon Trainer into Leaf and Red, with one keeping the same team and the other getting the above? Or, alternatively, swap Pikachu for Pichu and/or Espeon for Mewtwo.
What is your favorite update to a fighter's moveset, mechanics, or design between Smash Bros. games?
Ever since his intro in Melee, Bowser has always been THE heaviest fighter in the game. Donkey Kong (who was heaviest in 64) was his closest rival, until Ultimate where he was matched by King Dedede and surpassed by King K. Rool, who comes just barely shy of Bowser's weight.
Bowser's "I'm the biggest" presentation is further enforced by the recurring Giga Bowser, and perhaps handwaved by the fact that Bowser has always had a variable size in the Mario games, sometimes outright dwarfing Mario (either due to powerups, magic, or just artistic choice).
From what I understand, King K. Rool's canon size is even bigger than Bowser's usual size, but Nintendo still made him just barely lighter. Ridley may have been a contender for being the heaviest, but he too was made lighter than Bowser, and significantly so.
Do you think there's a fighter who, if introduced, could be BIGGER than Bowser? Would Nintendo allow it?

I personally think it’s Zomba’s run at LVL UP EXPO 2026, where he eliminated Toon, Carmelo, crêpe salée, and acola.
It feels timely, given the Ocarina of Time remake reveal.

I count Light, Hurt, Sonix, Zomba, Asimo, Kola, and KEN. Anyone else?
Edit: added KEN, removed Shuton (has not beaten Doramigi). If we count Miya (ranked first in 2025.2), that rules out Kola and KEN, but the rest have all beaten Miya.
