1997 vs. 2012 Slan Video Edit

>1997 vs. 2012 Slan | Videos & Movies on Vimeo!<

Hi all! I made a video stitching the 1997 and 2012 Memorial Edition Eclipse shots of Slan together to give a neat little visual comparison. I love her design and think she is one of the coolest designed characters in the series (or ever - but I'm biased). It's cool to see the two designs side by side to really appreciate them both and see how classic vs. newer enhanced animation styles depict her!!

Who would side with Eren Yeager? Griff of Guts?

Hi all! My berktism is extra hard tonight and it’s got me musing, so I’m gonna make your problem too. If Berserk and Attack on Titan were to share a beach episode, who do you think would side with my husband, Eren Yeager, during the Rumbling? Griffith or my other husband, Guts?

Hi all! I just finished the ‘97 anime for the first time today and I’m desperate for some discourse. I’ve finished the manga and previously only ever watched the 2012 Memorial Edition series (and bits and pieces of the 2016 adaptation) on Crunchyroll. I have to admit, I was disappointed in the ‘97 anime. Visually, it’s gorgeous. It’s dream-like and nostalgic, and it’s a great one just to have playing in the background for vibes. However, narratively, I feel it’s not as good as the Memorial Edition Golden Age adaptation. The ‘97’s dialogue lacks a lot of the nuance that’s in the manga and even in the Memorial Edition, and the cliffhanger choice was diabolical. Many people hate on the Memorial Edition’s art style, but I honestly think it looks great. (We won’t talk about their unfortunate 2016 cousin living in the attic lol). So my question is why do so many people hate on the Memorial Edition but praise the ‘97 adaptation? Is it purely stylistic preferences and nostalgia? Do you think the narrative choices (i.e. changes and omissions) in the ‘97 adaptation were the right ones knowing the full extent of the manga material? I’d love to hear your thoughts :)

Void and Ubik arrived today, finishing out my God Hand set (minus Femto - will get him eventually)! Overall, I think they’re really stellar figures with a lot of great customizability, and I can’t wait to really play around with their display.

I’m currently trying to design and build an Eclipse diorama with a large stand in the shape of the giant hand for each of them to stand on, recreating the second image I attached. I’ll definitely post a pic once that is eventually done, but for now, my little Berserk shrine continues to grow 👹🖤
