How can CIG say SQ42 is "Feature Complete" when 2 different flight models where added/announced since then

  1. CIg announces SQ42 is "feature complete"

  2. We get Master Modes flight model

  3. There is word of a new flight model.

How can a game designed around NPC's and fleet battles and distances be feature complete if they haven't even finalize a flight model, let alone prepping NPC's for said flight model etc? I don't think it can be feature complete.

Valid backlash keeps CIG in check

Remember when CIG demoed and said the Galaxy will have a base building module in their Citcon powerpoints? Next year they backpeddled and naturally users started posting on Spectrum making threads and Nightrider-CIG naturally nuked most of them... but in the end we got CIG to confirm the base building module will come for the Galaxy. All because of user backlash

But wait there's more examples of user backlash working...

  1. 890 jump enjoyers used to complain that a starter Aurora could insta ram it. It was ignored for years. Then Polaris was released and it was happening so often that users started getting upset and posting that all over spectrum and reddit... CIG fixed it same month.

  2. Remember cash exclusive flight blades... backlash made them sell in game ones.

  3. Remember CIG's $20 paywall for Citizencon... user backlash resolved that confusion.

  4. Pre 4.8 wipe CIG said Wikelo ships will survive the wipe... when users pointed out most were gained from duped economy money, CIG changed course.

So yes CIG has shown us time after time that VALID user backlash is very effective in getting CIG on track. Take look at the last stream and backlash and how CIG literally released a page on their site listing all bugs/issues fixed including developer notes. All from valid user backlash.

Imagine inviting someone to your house just to clown on them for the world to see. You wouldn't defend this behavior. I wouldn't either.

Idc who you are, if I invite you to my house I'll treat you with respect because you are a guest. I invite guests over to have a good time for everyone included. I'm not gonna haze you with my buddies and I certainly don't invite people to have fun at their expense.

CIG invited Ollie to their house and their stream was just devs team killing him over and over until Jared finally had to break and remind them to revive players. At one point there was a implied joke telling Ollie to "F*#@ himself" on stream too. Real classy stuff.

And since then we have white knights ignoring the elephant in the room and turning a blind eye to obvious and open toxicity and team killing which we all saw. Wild.

As much as I dislike Ollie promoting grey market ship sites... I find I have to stand up to white knights who are whitewashing CIG's toxic behavior... that we all saw happen live. We all saw the team killing. We saw Elliot killing Ollie. Just stop and take the L.

The Multicrew Elephant In The Room

CIG says we should do more multicrew while in PU a full shields up Reclaimer gets disabled by a medium dogfighter in under 10 seconds. Even if you had a guy on a turret, that's GG. Meanwhile the only ship that I see being regularly multicrewed is not the Idris or Polaris but the Perseus. In fact it's become so ingrained from experience that when I see an Idris I automatically assume it's solo and when I see a Perseus I assume he has the top gunner ready to blast. I'm more afraid of seeing a Perseus than an Idris.

Why is this? Because Perseus has S8 guns and any turret below S8 is being ignored by players. Anything smaller and it's not worth manning over just flying an escort yourself. I don't think ship price is to blame. Polaris is only $175 more when you've already spent $800 and still I never see a Polaris front gun manned with it's 2xS6's.

...So why not just increase DPS for all turrets on all ships across the board to match the formula for the Perseus? Why would someone man a 4xS4 turret on the Polaris when the TAC pilot gets that? Turrets gotta hit harder, or have some speed/aim buffs unique to turrets to encourage players to sit in one. It is really that simple.

An Aurora, a P4 rifle, and a Dream

Pictures this. You have your starter Aurora, 20k starting aUEC and Highlander-CIG drops another.. unholy money meta in Pyro. Wikelo bless him and a big shout out! Unfortunatley it helps to have one of those big half grand haulers otherwise the Freelancer from these places despawns half the time during Quantum...

What do you do?

You can do contracted cargo and move boxes like an amazon worker for ok money, that's one option, sure... Or you can spend 5k on a P4, get in your starter ship and bet the rest on a dream. aUEC challenged Star Citizens can make big bucks too and not be gated behind needing a specific ship. Your $40 Aurora with the free holiday paint will do just fine.

This is the Unholy Money Meta I'm talking about and a Tutorial, pause as necessary to understand what/where/how: WARNING: This content contains PvP. Please enjoy responsibly. https://streamable.com/2384ka

Again one more big shout out to Highlander-CIG! He's single handedly breathing life into Pyro right now even with Nyx getting the focus with planet tech and all else announced.

All in all I think piracy is a game loop that lets anyone trade their in game skills in lieu of owning a specific ship or ships. You just need to be current with the game, have a pulse on money metas and ofc... your starter ship. You all are shining stars, so don’t ever let a starter ship make you think you’re limited.

Sometimes all it takes is an Aurora, a P4, and a Dream.

CIG partnered with Elevenlabs AI voice studio and ya'll downvoted me saying they won't use AI voice..

https://www.marketscreener.com/news/latest/Voice-AI-startup-ElevenLabs-closes-new-funding-round-at-3-3-billion-valuation-48916586/

> The startup has partnerships with publishers including The New Yorker, The Washington Post and The Atlantic, and gaming studios such as Paradox and Cloud Imperium Games, according to its website.

And we just had a thread about CIG discussing using AI for voice too: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/1vhzsct/erin_roberts_on_cig_using_ai_in_their_programming/

And ofc CIG discussed using AI voice 1 year ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/1vmd6mi/what_we_know_so_far_about_full_voice_dubbing_in/p38gxph/

CIG has not fixed elevators, because CIG cannot fix the elevators

Physicallized cargo was introduced just before 4.0 launched just a week before 2025 started. 1.5 years later cargo elevators are still broken, despite CIG announcing and pushing at least 4+ fixes across 1.5 years. They were broken during big events like Resource Drive and they break during no events too. They were broken week 1 of launch, they're broken this week too and they were breaking in every patch.

Hell my home hangar both elevators have now jammed and broke... in a place where only I have access to and where I carefully snap each and every box and I do not litter cruz... Nope still broke, 2nd elevator broke 3 days later.

All in all it's clear CIG wants to fix the issue but CIG clearly has demonstrated with 4+ attempts that they are not competent enough to implement or fix even basic game features.
