Motherhood and HS
im 20f and my daughter is 4m, and I plan to nurse her till she’s 2, I went the whole year prior to pregnancy basically in remission, I’d have the occasional cyst but no real flares. my whole pregnancy was the same thing, I thought maybe my HS had calmed down and that is what it’d be like from then on…..no.
its like the second I gave birth every cyst I had managed to avoid came back with a vengeance. several cysts come in at a time, in places that only rarely would flare, the tunneling, the pain, it’s the worst it’s ever been.
im also nursing so I don’t feel comfortable treating with any medication that isn’t topical, but those barely work.
im currently washing my body with hibbicleanse (antiseptic soap) and i use a aha/bha toner, i also have benzole peroxide which doesn’t seem to do anything and i have draw salve. i desperately want this gone. but i don’t feel comfortable taking anything because im nursing. all the articles ive read are like “it’s probably safe for nursing mothers but we don’t really know because it’s unethical to test” so fuck that???
my husband and I also want kids kind of back to back? when my daughter is around 1.5-2 we’re gonna try for another, which I also want to nurse until they’re 2. and we want 4 kids. like wtf I’m never gonna treat this.
im hoping i can get my insurance to cover laser hair removal but im really frustrated. my groin is destroyed right now and everytime it starts to heal i have another flare. any advice would help.
