I made a site that turns your text into divergence meter nixie tubes

Try it: salierigator.github.io/steins-gate-nixie

In the Steins;Gate Visual Works 1.5 + NiXie Font Kit artbook, the BO NX font specimen (3rd image) shows that each tube is made of 3 layers, from bottom to top:

  • Silhouette: all ten digits drawn on top of each other and dimmed. In a real nixie tube the digits are stacked, so you can faintly see the unlit ones.
  • Character: the lit digit, with a few construction lines that make it look like a technical drawing.
  • Grid: a black mesh on top, like the metal grid in front of the digits in a real tube.

Stack them, add some glow, and that's pretty much the divergence meter (4th image). I rebuilt this for the whole font, so you can type letters and symbols too.

It's more of a text display than a real editor, but you can save it as a PNG for a wallpaper or whatever (hope it's useful lol). I also made some character themes, hope you like my taste :)

There's a working divergence meter at the top too.
