Healthcare opportunities in Sweden for newcomers. (Medicarrera).
Hi. I am a non EU citizen with an EU medical education. I recently got an invitation to travel to Sweden for a possible interview organized by medicarrera.
As a specialist Radiologist (recently graduated), I have few GENIUNE questions regarding medicarrera and the life of a foreign doctor there. All replies are appreciated in advance!
I am curious, how are the interviews are handled and how intense is the "work tests" which they conduct?
*Do we pay a penalty of a certain sum* if we decide to discontinue our language learning program after signing the guarantee of employment at the hospital?
*Do we pay penalty if we work less (years) than the desired timeline proposed by the hospital and agreed on the contract?
*Does medicarrera charge you in any case possible?
(Discontinued language prep, rejections, etc)
*Has anyone experienced racism or xenophobia as a foreigner working in a Swedish healthcare system?
From (Patients/Co workers).
As per reviews, Sweden is in need of healthcare workers.
Do newcomers from non EU background manage to adapt easily? (Language excluded).
Is it true that *on average* they consider foreign trained doctors "not fit" ? (Due to language, ethnicity).
Would it be easier for them to issue a visa for people who needs one in order to visit Sweden after securing a job offer+language exams.
Thank you very much.
