Fractions - New way???

Has anyone ever done fractions this way? I think I may have developed a whole new way (could be wrong). Let’s do 5/8 - we add a decimal in front of the numerator .5. Then we need to figure out the rest of the formula .5x8=4 then take 5-4=1 then 1/8=0.125 then add .5 = .625

Hi Web Designers, this is fluyte a project I created to help my sister who owns a small bar and my wife who does resale. Fluyte.com is a free inventory and asset management project that I’ve been working on and I’m trying to find someone who is a designer that can collab with me on it to make it better. Check it out and message me your details and let’s collab!
