Wondering why this happens
1st 2 pictures are my last stitch of row 1, The others are my first stitch of row 1. The end of my casting on rows always have this too

Couple of questions
Beginner knitter so please don’t be too harsh with me
Wanted to practise seed stitch and then went into rib
Why is it only straight along one edge, and the other wonky/gets larger?
Why does my rib look so spaced out? Do I need a smaller needle? Is my tension just way off? Or am I doing it wrong? 🥲
Any help would be much appreciated!
