GOOD NEWS OHIO
I was sent this from my main company today. It goes to show that all the hate mongering against the AKA is undeserved most of the time. They do good work and we should continue supporting them.
We're happy to let you know that we've resumed accepting and shipping orders to our Ohio customers, effective immediately.
Here's a quick rundown of what happened: On May 20th, we had to pause all orders and active subscriptions going to Ohio after the state's Board of Pharmacy issued guidance that attempted to classify natural kratom as a Schedule I substance, which disrupted sales across the state.
If you had an active subscription with us, that was paused as well, we're sorry for the disruption.
The good news: The American Kratom Association and industry partners moved fast, and on May 22nd an Ohio court granted a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) that blocks Ohio from enforcing that classification. The state has also been ordered to retract the notice it published against kratom sales.
In plain terms — a judge stepped in and said Ohio cannot treat natural kratom products as an illegal substance while this legal challenge plays out. There's a follow-up hearing next week on a longer-term injunction, and we'll keep you posted as things develop.
In the meantime, our doors are open and your orders are welcome.
