Fired hours before passing probation (and the day before my birthday) because management didn't want to respect my medical accommodation

So timeline wise, I was literally hours away from passing my probation as a letter carrier. Plus I had my vacation already approved to start next week right after my birthday tomorrow.

I have a declared medical condition, so I'm currently on an active, federally supported Return to Work (RTW) accommodation plan. It strictly limits me to reduced duties like doing a portion of the route while I recover.

Then this morning, my supervisor texts me with only 45 minutes notice to change my start time by three hours. When I politely declined just because of the short notice, she retaliates by immediately demanding I come in for a sudden mandatory evaluation.

In that meeting she hands me a negative evaluation and fired me for "performance and unsuitability". She basically terminated me for the exact medical limitations that my RTW plan is legally accommodating for.

I do have all the receipts though, like the text timestamps, the official medical accommodation PDFs and my doctors notes. I officially requested my union file an emergency grievance for a Duty to Accommodate and Human Rights violation. I really just needed to vent about how ruthless and toxic this management tactic is.
