Prefacing by saying I hate these cameras. However I was driving to work this morning and one of the big highway boards had an amber alert. I then went down a rabbit hole of wondering if these cameras have stopped a child abductions and would my hatred of surveillance state cameras be short sited if they were helping recover kids.

The interweb says it’s done exactly that. As a parent I can see the hypocrisy in my hatred of these cameras. Not sure a surveillance state environment can be reconciled with personal privacy and active defense of the innocent.

In no way trying to stir things up. Just would love to hear people’s thoughts…especially parents.
