BB 58 check

Hey guys today I got my first serious watch, got it second hand, just wanted to ask the community if everything seems fine or there are possible counterfeit signs.

The bezel when reaching the 12 hour marks kinda stops, which should be a good sign

Thanks!

30th birthday gift for myself! 5 link bracelet!

Just got my 30th present for myself (Tudor Black Bay 58
GMT with the 5 link bracelet) and now I think I have the perfect 3 watch collection. Not including a G Shock that goes without saying.

- Vintage 1972ish Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 Jumbo for smarter looks

- Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT for daily wear and travel.

- Vintage 1978 Seiko Grand Quartz Dual Quartz with a snowflake dial for grab and go ease of use. This one is crazy value for money.

What do you guys think?

Is my bracelet legit?

I bought my Black Bay 58 from a reputable dealer in Nakano Broadway Tokyo. Notice the “ZE” after steelinox is very faint on my watch, compared to other samples I found online.

Could it be due to over-polishing?

Coming up on 6 years with the OG 2020 Hype Watch

It’s been really cool to see the BB58 blue posted more and more on here. It’s been my daily for almost 6 years. This watch was so hyped back in 2020, but quickly seemed to drift into an iykyk status. Tudor was hitting a lot of home runs back then and I’ve noticed a lot of Tudor fans seem to chase the newest releases while dumping their older models. IMO it really does take spending time with this watch to appreciate how special it is; how the blue dial and bezel play with the light, going from a vibrant blue in the sun to an almost midnight blue in low light. It perfectly balances vintage and modern in such an understated way, flying under the radar and melting into daily life.

Tudor as a brand is in a pretty cool transitional period. Taking a step back to see the forest through the trees, it’s almost guaranteed the brand is going to continue evolving and releasing slam dunk watches. I genuinely believe any standard size, configuration, and color way WILL at some point exist. I get so excited each year to see what they will rollout, but I often think about what it would have been like if people who purchased submariners back in the 50s and 60s, when the sub was evolving each year, were constantly chasing each year’s newest Rolex. Kinda silly when you think back on it and see that regardless of the year, nowadays any of those watches would be highly sought after vintage subs… I wonder if there will be a day when it’s the same for Tudor; this particular watch falling in that small window of COSC 58’s, a strange one at that releasing during a pandemic year. Regardless of what people think of it 50+ years from now, it’s been such a great watch, and I hope to still have it on my wrist if I’m still around then.

Stoned so pardon the rambling

BB58 to GMT

Temporary strap on until the proper ones arrive. White dial Pepsi is growing on me a lot. The movement is incredible!

I wanted to diversify my collection and my choice was kinda straight

Ever since I started to be a watch enthusiast the brand that caught my eye the most was Oris. However, for a while I wanted a GMT. So I started to look at other brands. And there I am. Opaline Black Bay Pro. My introduction to the Tudor world. It has been a no-brainer as soon as I saw it. I knew it would be this one.

First “big boy” watch — BB54, BB36, or Rangers ‘Dune’? Need help deciding

Hey all! I’m trying to narrow down my first serious watch purchase and I keep going back and forth between these three. Curious what you’d pick if you were starting your collection today.

Where I’m at:

BB54 — This is my current frontrunner. I know it’s often compared to the Submariner, but I’m not planning to ever get a Sub, so I don’t see it as a placeholder. It just genuinely appeals to me on its own.

BB36 — I’ve taken this one off the table. I want to build a relationship with an AD toward a Rolex DJ down the road, and since the BB36 and DJ occupy a similar aesthetic space, I’d rather save that lane for the Rolex.

Rangers ‘Dune’— This one is tough. I’m not planning to get an Explorer either, and honestly I think the Rangers looks better at roughly half the price. But I’m torn because I can’t fully let it go.

So — BB54 or Rangers? And if you’ve owned either, I’d love to hear how you feel about them now vs. when you first got them. Open to other suggestions too if you think I’m missing something obvious.

BB58 & Delugs CTS Rubber

New strap day. Went with the Delugs CTS rubber strap with spring deployant clasp in rose gold, I wanted to change it up and reflect the gold colors of the watch. Unfortunately they were sold out of the black rubber & new ‘micro adjust’ clasp in rose gold combo. This clasp still has a couple adjustments nonetheless. Anyways, expensive proposition for a rubber strap, but I looked at some of the competitors like Everest, Rubber B and Zealand, those all were more $ and came with standard tang clasps, not deployant which I was looking for. I’m very happy with the quality of everything, customer service, fast free shipping, and packaging was actually really nice. It came with a spring bar tool and (3) spring bars, which was a nice touch since I shot one across the room while I was assembling it, somehow I was able to find it though 😁. Two thumbs up for Delugs.

Going to go and buy this tomorrow, any red flags?

Dial looks redone but I’m no expert. Wanted some second opinions.
