SMPc vs Tudor Ranger
Without a doubt, these two get the most wrist time in my collection.
If you could only keep one, which one are you choosing? 👀⌚️

SBGE279
Today was a great day! I got my first watch from a microbrand, although I don’t think they’ll be a microbrand for much longer. They’re doing things really, really well!
I had never heard of the brand until recently, when I started researching Japanese watch brands, but it’s crazy to see that they already have huge billboards right here in Asakusa!
Their service is amazing and the way they treat you is incredible. I wasn’t even planning on buying a watch, but I ended up walking out with one simply because I fell in love with it haha.
I actually wanted a different model, but it was already sold out, and the only piece they had left was already reserved. They told me with such genuine regret haha, even apologizing multiple times. It was completely different from some other brands where they tell you the same thing with an attitude of arrogance.
A beautiful dial. The SBGE279 is a JDM model, and honestly, it’s simply a stunning watch.
I bought it at Nakano Broadway in Japan. I’ve owned watches from all kinds of brands, but the quality of this watch is on another level.
I didn’t fully understand it until I saw it up close and actually had it on my wrist.
“Even the mainspring gets a Gonzo touch, with his face revealed as the watch is fully wound and gradually disappearing as the power reserve runs down”
I really like this watch. The chili pepper hand is such a great touch, and Oris always knows how to make exciting releases.
I just can’t believe a $10K watch doesn’t have quick adjustment on the bracelet. Still, I think it’s a great, great watch.
In a few days I’ll be heading to Japan, and I’ve already gotten in touch with a pre owned watch store! (Thanks for all your advice in this subreddit.)
I’m going there to check out this SBGE213, which, by the way, is a pretty underrated and lesser known reference.
For me, this is one of the best Spring Drive watches you can get for the money. It’s only around $3K, and you get a GMT as well.
What do you guys think? Or would you recommend another reference around the same price?
It’s insane. I had the previous 38mm model, and this feels like a completely different watch.
They improved it so much.
Fun fact: unlike most Tudor models that resemble existing Rolex watches, the Royal actually came first. The Tudor Royal was released before Rolex introduced the Land-Dweller.
I’ve had it for 3 days now, I’ll never sell it because what’s given as a gift is never sold. Now I’m part of the Tudor gang 4 ever. 🫡
Hey guys, do you think this watch works with shorts or sweatpants too? To me, it has that sporty vibe but still looks really elegant.
Very happy with this beauty
