I experienced extreme claustrophobia in a dream despite never thinking I was claustrophobic

I had a dream where the space around me suddenly started collapsing.

The walls kept moving closer and closer until there was barely any room left. I remember desperately trying to breathe, but the space felt so compressed that I genuinely felt like I was suffocating. 😨 What makes it strange is that I don't consider myself claustrophobic.

I've never had a particularly bad experience being trapped somewhere, and as far as I know I've never had a fear of confined spaces while awake.

So I'm wondering Can a dream create a fear response to something you don't consciously fear? Or could this actually mean I have some degree of claustrophobia that I've simply never encountered or noticed while awake?

Has anyone experienced a completely unfamiliar fear for the first time in a dream? 🧐

Tips for those who can't dream or sleep

You just have to be creative thik of fantasy before sleep. Be tired before you sleep and boom you can sleep well.

There is this old saying from where I am thinking of you as a turtle 🐢 with 4 limbs and a head outside it's shell and now you have to consider them as your senses and retreat them in to your shell. Stop tasting speaking and seeing those are easy . Now take back the sense of hearing don't listen to any of the surroundings sounds which would be easier if there is only a repeating sound that can be ignored by mind. Then the feeling of touch don't feel the fabric you are laying tips are make the bed compy and sleep in such a way that increases the area in contact with the bed or so. The moment you pulled back all the five senses you would go to sleep and once your tiredness is over and your body recovery is done then you ener the state where you would be able to experience dreams. I guess this is the simplest I can explain the process
