Job instead of grad school?
Guys, let me know if I’m being stupid or not.
I have been a hardware engineer for 2+ years now and I have wanted to make the move to go back to school for analog ic design and power electronics so I can move into PMIC. However, I just got a job working basically on a team that does PMIC but I would be a more supporting role. Understanding the chips and working w customers, more power electronics related. So I would push off grad school for atleast 2 years or maybe even go straight power electronics. It’s also for very good money, and in a good area. Does this make sense or should I still go back to school? At this point I think a part time masters is all I could do as I’m getting close to 30. Let me know what you think. Also this company is one of the biggest for analog chip design so I think I can write my own ticket if I really want to go that way.
