High-tech European equipment must not power the Russian war machine.

Austria’s Directorate of State Security and Intelligence (DSN) just exposed a major international procurement network operating out of Vienna. Using front companies and forged documents, this scheme systematically bypassed EU sanctions to supply high-precision machinery and metalworking tools directly to Russia's defense industry—including missile and air defense production.

While this bust by Austrian authorities is a crucial victory, one-off arrests aren't enough to stop systemic evasion.

It’s time for Europe to act even more aggressively:
-Tighter trade controls & supply chain oversight
-Harsher penalties for sanctions evasion
-Full international cooperation to shut down covert Russian networks

Europe must step up enforcement and close every single loophole—once and for all. 🇪🇺💪

True global energy security is impossible while Russia continues to finance its aggression through oil revenues and sanctions evasion.

Global leaders are discussing the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a move that could significantly reduce risks to global energy markets. But long-term energy security cannot depend solely on resolving one regional crisis.

At the same time, the international community must not lose sight of Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine.

True global energy security is impossible while Russia continues to finance its aggression through oil revenues and sanctions evasion.

That is why the next step must be:

• stronger sanctions on Russia's energy sector;

• closing loopholes that allow sanctions evasion;

• increased pressure on Russia's shadow fleet;

• tighter restrictions on technologies and financing that support the Kremlin's war machine.

Reopening the Strait of Hormuz may help stabilize global markets. Strengthening sanctions against Russia will help protect international security and reduce the Kremlin's ability to continue its war.

For the Russians, it did not matter that Andrii Stratiichuk had once served as a police officer.

In Russian prisons, convicted criminals have at least some rights. Ukrainian prisoners of war have none. Andrii’s testimony reveals a system where captivity means complete powerlessness—and where even basic human dignity is deliberately taken away.
