Ulraine’s Kharkiv National Medical University announced the death of 23-year-old Nigerian student Nnani Adaobi Marian, who succumbed to severe injuries sustained during a Russian drone attack.

After being critically wounded, Marian was treated first in Kharkiv and then transferred to Germany, where doctors fought to save her life.

Despite their efforts, she passed away on July 5th in hospital

Marian began studying medicine at the university in 2020 and was remembered as a dedicated, talented and compassionate student.

She had participated in international academic programs, including internships at the University of Cambridge in 2024 and Turkey's Beruni University in 2025, where she expanded her medical knowledge and research experience.

Operational information on the elimination of the consequences of another massive attack on the capital

The residents of Kyiv have not yet recovered from the recent large-scale shelling when the enemy again strikes at peaceful people.

▪️In the Podilskyi district, a hit on a residential nine-story building with subsequent destruction from the 9th to the 5th floors occurred. 17 people were taken to fresh air, 28 were rescued from the upper floors with the help of a fire ladder. The rescue operation is ongoing.

At other addresses, there was a fire in the roof cladding of a building and a lift shaft on the roof. There was partial destruction on the roof of a 19-story building, cars are burning in the courtyard of a residential building, and debris falling at the level of the 16th floor of a 25-story residential building was also recorded.

In addition, a search for victims is ongoing in a 21-story residential building where there was destruction from the 2nd to the 5th floors.

▪️In the Darnytsia district, on the territory of a residential complex in one of the 25-story buildings, there was a fall of debris at the level of the 4th floor, and in another - a fire in an apartment of 150 sq. m. There is also a report of a fire in a nearby garage cooperative.

At another address, as a result of a debris hit, a fire broke out on the 23rd to 25th floors of a 30-story residential building.

▪️In the Holosiivskyi district, a non-residential building is on fire, presumably as a result of an attack.

Rescuers and all relevant services are working at the locations.

Information on the victims is being clarified.
