Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre will be having a virtual meeting with and officially inviting Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to visit Canada

From @ newshatb on Instagram. This was recorded on 15 August 2026 during the Persian Town Hall event in North Vancouver, BC.

Poilievre is (I think) currently the second most prominent figure in Canadian politics, so this is a big win for us

Give suggestions for alternative names to "EIPAC" (European pro-Free Iran advocacy group)

I wasn't expecting to get so many positive responses to my last post (I originally made it as a somewhat unserious parody of AIPAC, but if there's genuine interest, I could consider going further with this idea)

A number of people suggested I reconsider the name I initially chose, EIPAC. (it was the first thing that came to mind) However I am struggling to think of any better alternatives.

Maybe "EIRAN" or "E-IRAN" could work better? Or Renew Iran (similar to Renew Europe), but the latter one doesn't mention Europe.

The intention would not be to compete with Iran Prosperity Project, but rather to focus on advocating for/promoting the Iranian opposition to strictly Europeans (both the public and leaders). Because of that, having "PAC" would be a misnomer as it wouldn't be bribing any politicians, and it's important to explicitly mention both countries in the name.

I already have my own website for Iran Flag Project, so I could build this off of that. Please give me your ideas and suggestions if you have any, whether for names or the broader concept in general 👍👍

The only way we can get Europe to help us

I was thinking about a way to get Europe to start helping Iranians and distancing itself from the regime, and I remembered the success that the Israel lobby had in the United States. So why not emulate that with Iran and Europe?

And so I present to you: EIPAC - European Iranian Policy Action Committee.

I think the name has a big shock factor because it's like the infamous AIPAC, and I think it could gain traction if it were actually founded. It could be an organisation/think tank/political lobby that encourages European leaders to recognise the opposition government and break off relations with the Islamic regime. What do you guys think

Edit: I'm looking for new name suggestions here https://www.reddit.com/r/NewIran/comments/1uhzu67/give_suggestions_for_alternative_names_to_eipac/

Created this a few weeks back

Just posting it here now that it's become relevant again

Changed the caption from my original post so it's not combining any conflicting ideas. I think it's better when it's not trying to force in a call to action
