I’m looking at a new bike and I’ve been doing heaps of research but was hoping for some opinions on my specific circumstance.
I’m currently on an R3 which is heaps of fun, but I want to be able to go on dirt (nothing too hectic (at least yet)). I’ve been looking at all the options, they’re all on the table, but I am LAMS restricted, and am thinking NX500 or CRF300 Rally. Considering KTM 390 Adventure but nervous about the reliability that people online talk about, same hesitations with CF Motos 450MT.
I’m on the Sunshine Coast, want to be able to go into the Glass House Mountains mostly manicured gravel/dirt roads and forest tracks. But also be able to be comfortable on the highway down to Brisbane or up to Gympie. Realistically I’d be expecting to spend my time 60/40 road to dirt. I just miss adventuring.
Ideally I’d love to be able to keep the acceleration of the R3 (I know it’s not the fastest of bikes anyway), and its ability to overtake on highways, I’ve got no interest in anything over 140km/h ever. I know I’m asking for basically the best of all worlds but figured I might get some better insight here. Cheers
