Apex Pro 2/Navigation battery question
I am currently using a Coros Apex Pro 2 as my watch. I have a 100 mile race coming up and would like to load the course and use navigation, but my preliminary tests are showing I won't have enough battery life to support it. I did a 3 hour run in trail mode that used 15%. I had the map up for maybe 10 minutes on the screen, but utilized other screens most of the time. Even if I manage a sub 24 hour finish, the math isn't working out for me.
A nice question/feature...is there a way to have the map loaded, but not be in navigation mode? If I could just switch and see my GPX loaded onto the map then I can just spot check it as needed. Are there any other potential enhancements? I plan on using the ultramax gps mode to improve battery life.
