Terrible customer service

Just putting it out there that Coros probably has the biggest joke of a customer service department I've ever had to deal with. 1000% switching over to Garmin after this. How can you spend hundreds of dollars on a new watch and it breaks in under a year and you can't get anyone to help you.

Edit: bring on the downvotes but imagine being a company and not having a customer service number to contact someone and only getting AI generator responses

Edit: thanks for the downvotes. It means you're doing something right

Convince me to buy the Apex 4 — long-time Garmin user who really misses MIP

Long-time Garmin user here. Started on the Fenix MIP series, then moved to the Enduro 3 — honestly my all-time favourite watch, even if it ended up being a bit too big for me. Right now I’m on a Forerunner 970, and I really want to go back to MIP.

The Fenix 8 MIP isn’t an option for me, I just don’t like it. And the Garmin UI has started to feel a bit stale — I’d like to try something different for once. So: sell me on the Apex 4.

A few things I’d love input on:

**•**	**Daily driver:** How does it wear day to day? Size/thickness on a normal wrist?

**•**	**Sleep tracking:** Is Coros actually good here? How solid is the recovery/training load side of things?

**•**	**Strength work:** I do calisthenics 2–3x a week with a Garmin HR chest strap. Is that compatible, or do I need to switch straps?

**•**	**Running/hiking:** 2–3 runs a week, lots of hiking in summer. How are the maps? Is planning your own routes easy? Can I load GPX files onto it without pain?

**•**	**Everything else:** Occasional swimming, football with the kids, that kind of thing.

And one more: does Coros have any kind of 24/7 metric comparable to Garmin’s Body Battery — continuous stress and recovery tracking throughout the day?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!

Coros Nomad size

I'm looking to replace my pace 3 with either the pace 4 or the nomad. Mostly leaning towards the Nomad atm, reviews are promising and it's just something different to what I'm used to. And it straight up looks very good.

I'm relatively new in the watch world as the pace 3 was my first one and I have a "concern" about the Nomad.

It's a lot bulkier than the pace and I was wondering how people experience it. I did go to a store to try it out and it seemed fine, despite it being thicker than the pace. But that was only a short time, so I doubt that gave me the full picture.

For Nomad users, how do you experience the bulkiness of the watch?

It's mostly for daily use, sleep tracking and swimming/running.

Pace 4 and older eyes

I’m considering switching from a Suunto race 2 to a coros pace 4 but the 1 thing holding me back is the screen size and resulting text size.
Any older users with older eyesight have some experience of using it and can comment on text size?

The watch's firmware is not updated

I bought a Coros Apex 4 watch. When updating the firmware via Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, errors appear. It says: “update failed, check the network” or “make sure the device and phone are connected.” There is Wi‑Fi, and the internet is working. I rebooted both the watch and the phone. I reset the watch to factory settings. The watch syncs with the phone and the app. Even the maps loaded. But the update doesn’t download. Sometimes the app also says there’s no network. The application is the latest version.

The update starts downloading, reaches 9%, and then freezes.

Comeback to Coros?(Apex 4)

I'm considering switching to the Coros Apex 4.

About 1.5 years ago, I had an Apple Watch, but it fell short for me—mostly because the battery life was a huge disappointment. After that, I got a Coros Pace 4 right on release day and was completely happy with it for over six months. However, as I started doing more trail running and hiking, I wanted a watch with offline maps. I managed to pick up a Suunto Race at a good price, which I've been using for 2–3 months now. I'm mostly satisfied with it, but I really miss the ability to plan my strength training workouts like you can in the Coros ecosystem. I also preferred the Coros app and user interface.
Would moving from the Suunto Race's AMOLED display to the Apex 4's MIP screen be considered an upgrade or a downgrade in this context? Has anyone here made a similar switch?

How to make home screen show for a few more seconds?

Hello, got my pace 4 yesterday and so far so good.

What is bugging me however is how fast the screen turns off after flicking my wrist, it's like 2 seconds and then I have to flick it again or press a button. I would like to extend this duration quite a bit so I can read the home screen free of stress.

Any help?

Garmin Fenix Series vs Enduro 3 vs Epix Pro vs COROS Apex 4

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for my first serious sports/outdoor watch and I'm currently considering:

  • Garmin Fenix Series
  • Garmin Enduro 3 (51mm)
  • Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 (47/51mm)
  • COROS Apex 4 (46mm)

My main uses will be:

  • Marathon training/running
  • Gym/strength training
  • Hiking/trekking
  • Snowboarding (5-10 times/year including backcountry)
  • Cycling/swimming
  • Future alpine mountaineering/camping
  • 24/7 wear, including sleep tracking

I also tried on the Epix 51mm at the store myself, the watch did seem heavy and I wasn't that comfortable with it. I am not sure, but maybe I would get used to it if I wear it 24/7.

The Apex 4 seems to cover most of my needs with great battery life and a lighter design, while Garmin seems stronger in ecosystem, health/training features, navigation and outdoor/ski features.

My main question: Is it actually worth spending more on the Fenix Series or Enduro 3, or even the Epix Pro, for my use case? Are the extra features something I'd realistically benefit from, or would Apex 4 be enough?

I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has used both Garmin and COROS for similar activities.

Which would you choose in my position, and why?

How long does COROS Support usually take to respond? (Pace 3 died/overheated)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been a happy COROS Pace 3 user for about 2 years and 5 months, but unfortunately, it randomly overheated and died on me late last week, just after I updated the firmware.

I’ve seen this exact issue mentioned a few times in this sub, so I reached out to COROS support right away. They got back to me on Friday asking for watch model, firmware version, serial number (if available), color, full name, shipping address including country, and phone number and instructed me to open a new support ticket to send it all over (which I did on Saturday).

It’s now Tuesday afternoon and I haven't heard anything back yet. The ticket mentioned they are currently experiencing a high volume of support traffic.

For those of you who have gone through the warranty/support process with COROS recently, how long does it usually take them to get back to you once you submit the requested info? Is there anything else I should do to escalate this, or should I just sit tight?

I'm really itching to get this sorted out so I can get back to tracking my training properly.

Thanks in advance!

Complete Breakdown of my Pace 3

My Coros Pace 3 has become completely unusable. The touchscreen stopped working several months ago. The battery health has behaved strangely for the past week. And during a hike recently, the watch began lagging severely. At the same time, the scroll wheel stopped responding entirely. These issues appeared suddenly. And despite some communication with support, I haven’t received a follow-up response. In addition, the scroll wheel still clicks when pressed and feels normal, but it no longer responds to scrolling at all which makes the watch unusable at present. Has anyone had the same issue?(looses 30-45% daily due to general use)

I read that they will reply if i add my case number in here: #607260

KIPRUN GPS 900 Coros

Hello Guys! I’m thinking of buying a Kiprun GPS 900 Coros. I want a watch that is resistant, has a good battery, and good sensors. This one drew attention for its 30-day battery and its price/quality ratio. What do you think? Thank you!

Bricked Apex Pro 2 - Options

For the past 3 years I (33m) have loved my Apex Pro 2. I have the basic black model with the black band. Appropriate to wear for a middle aged male in all professional settings. I have recommended to friends and family and given my Garmin friends a hard time.

I went to update my Apex Pro and the new update completely bricked my phone. It won’t turn on or take a charge, I can’t reset it or anything.

I worked through the issue with customer support. It was a longer process but ultimately they did agree to replace my watch even though I am out of warranty. However the only available/in stock Apex Pro 2 is the dusty pink color way. I tried to negotiate with the support team to get a store credit and pay the difference for the Apex 4 but they said the exception is only for the pink Apex Pro 2.

Should I just accept the pink watch at this point or has any one had success working with support to get a store credit or different watch?

After all this I can’t say I would 100% recommend Coros anymore. It’s a great watch but after a software update to completely bricked my watch and have to follow a really slow resolution process, I’m pretty disappointed.

Coros Fitness Test failed

Hey all,

I tried the Coros Fitness Test recently for the first time because the temperatures finally dropped. However after the 25 min part the watch told me I failed the test and cannot continue. My guess is that my heart rate was probably not high enough? The test felt fairly easy and I stayed in (low) zone 2 the whole time which I thought was correct at the time, but I found out later that this part should feel pretty challenging. Is that correct? And is this the reason I failed or is there another? My max heart rate is currently set by Coros to 197 and resting heart rate is 57.

First run with the Coros Pace 4 vs my Garmin 265 — early impressions

Finally got my hands on the Pace 4 (accidentally ordered the Aluminum version, but that's a separate story) and did my first side-by-side comparison run against my Forerunner 265. Wanted to share some real numbers and first impressions for anyone else on the fence.

The run itself (~3km, easy pace):
- Garmin 265: 3.03km, 26:17, avg HR 152bpm, max HR 162bpm
- Coros Pace 4: 3.08km, 26:31, avg HR 152-153bpm, max HR 165bpm

HR and distance came out basically identical between the two watches, which was a relief given I was worried about accuracy going in (I have tattoos on one wrist, so optical HR has always been a slight concern for me). GPS tracking looked comparable too. Only real outlier was the power numbers, Garmin showed 230W avg, Coros showed 165W avg, but I think that's just different calculation models between brands, not an accuracy issue.

First impressions on wearing it:
Size-wise I got used to it faster than expected, doesn't feel too small or too big. Button/UI navigation feels good, about on par with Garmin's, just different. Display brightness wasn't set to match Garmin's when I ran, so I can't fully judge outdoor visibility yet.

Where I initially thought Coros was missing something:
I was worried I'd have to manually build every single workout myself for half marathon training, since I didn't see an obvious "auto-generate a training plan" feature like Garmin Coach. Turns out Coros actually has structured 12-week beginner half marathon plans (HR-based, mostly Zone 2) built right into the app, I just hadn't found them yet.

Still an open question for me:
Coros doesn't have a Body Battery equivalent, day-to-day dynamic energy level like Garmin has. It has a Recovery Timer (hours until you're ready for your next hard session) instead, which is useful but different. Curious if anyone who switched has found themselves missing that daily "how much gas do I have left" number, or if the Recovery Timer covers it well enough in practice.

Where I'm genuinely stuck:
Data-wise the two watches feel pretty comparable so far, but the overall experience is just completely different, and I honestly can't tell yet which one is "right" for me. Anyone who's gone through this exact back-and-forth: what ended up tipping the scale for you, and was it something concrete or more of a gut feeling after enough runs?
