Is Oklahoma thriving?

Greetings good people of Oklahoma! I'm a US citizen but a resident of a faraway country with family roots in your state. I haven't been there since the early '90s. My immediate family is considering a return to the US, and we've heard Tulsa mentioned a few times. Not like, "Oh it's amazing!" but "Yeah it's alright, if you don't mind..."

According to (my) family member in a town west of OKC, there are jobs everywhere in OK, the economy is booming, inflation hasn't made a dent in grocery prices, and everybody is still 100% MAGA.

I'm aware this person lives in a bubble of Fox News and like-minded peers, but is he right?

Top 30 Alternative Rock Guitarists of All Time (According to Me)

Much respect r/Alternativerock! Thank you everybody who contributed to the conversation in Top 50 Alternative Rock Albums of All Time. Let's talk about guitar players.

Here's the commentary if you're interested. All engagement is welcome, positive or negative, but keep it civil. No personal attacks.

The post includes parameters about what we consider "alternative rock" versus post-punk, indie, and other genres. I think any artist who put out a record on a major label, even if it's just a single, is not indie rock, so...that explains certain omissions. The overrated section is probably gonna generate some back n' forth, but again, keep it civil.

Top 50+ Progressive Rock Guitarists of All Time (According to Me)

Hey r/progrockmusic community, everybody was so cool in the comments of my last post. I truly enjoyed some of the conversation, so I'm back with another listicle, Top 50+ Progressive Rock Guitarists of All Time (According to Me), and it's…probably gonna draw some serious criticism. Like, I know what's coming.

In full disclosure for everybody's best interests, and it's outlined in the original post:

(a) I've been playing guitar for 40+years. I'm not saying I'm any good. I'm just saying I know how to play.

(b) I don't know much about prog rock from 1982-ish–forward, and I don't think Dream Theater is genuine prog; they're alternative and/or prog metal.

And (c) I'm guessing that some people might wonder, "What about Guthrie Govan?" or "Where's that kid with the tattooed neck from Polyphia?" I honestly don't hear the progressive in the rock music they make. It's something else. Educate me, indulge me, if you feel like it.

Anyway, it's just music and opinion. Please keep it civil, positive or negative. Rock on, my siblings in Prog!
