thickened epoxy repair?
I have this swimming platform on my Maxum... the PO has made a hatch in it for god knows what kind of reason. Anyway, the one who installed it, did a crappy job. Not sealing correctly so the plywood is rotted.
I removed the hatch. and the wet plywood. drilled it out untill the dry wood. Now it's drying also.
My plan is to fill between the 2 fiberglass layers with thickened epoxy, and also put glasfibers in the epoxy for strength. I guess its about 2~3 inches deep.
I want to do it like this, so i dont have to cut up the platform. and from below is a bit hard to reach. after that the hatch will go back in.
I guess the layer in between will be around 8mm thick
what do you guys think?
