I Found Out My Dad Cheated Last Year, and I Still Haven’t Told Anyone
Last June, I (then 14f, now 15f) found out my dad has been cheating on my mom their entire relationship. Long story short, what happened is that I went through my dad’s email and found messages with various women over the years—most of them scammers. For a while, I thought he’d stopped around 2015, but recently I looked through his email again and saw that he’s currently active on a few dating sites. And when I looked at those, I saw he’s been messaging more women now than I ever could have imagined.
I’ve pushed it down for so long now, it almost feels like it happened to somebody else. But the more I think about going on another month without telling anyone, the worse I feel. To make matters worse, my mom immigrated here just for him. Her only support system here is my dad’s family (I’m sure they’d take my mom’s side, but I’m still worried).
I’m completely lost on what to do. I know this post isn’t as detailed as it could be, but I can’t formulate my thoughts the best at the moment. I’m open to answering any questions. Any advice/support is appreciated. Thank you!
