Any bars in galway take on someone with no bar experience?

Background: I’m 19, I have plenty of hospitality experience, I started off working on the floor of a nightclub, ended up in hotel housekeeping aswell as serving for weddings on the weekends, then as a chef and now I’m working as a waiter.

I am very eager to get in behind a bar, I want a job with late hours as I am awake till all hours bored anyways. I’m good under pressure, very good in a fast paced environment and I deal wirh rushes well, from being a chef for a period of time. I’m also very friendly, would be able to deal with the old boys well as I’ve grown up with a farming background. The only issue I could possibly have would be not remembering drinks orders correctly but I’m sure the memory comes with time. Of course pulling awful pints aswell but I’d like to say I’m prettt confident.

I was thinking hotels might be a good place to start? Anyone with abit advice let me know if would be great. Thanks a lot lads

Any guards of Reddit able to help me out?

So, the newest recruitment campaign has just came out. I want to apply, I’ve wanted to for years.

However I don’t have a traditional leaving cert or a major level 5. Traditional education really dosent suit me so to do a major would be the Bain of my existance (I have tried). Are the educational requirements due to change? Or should I just bite the bullet now.
