Ultrasound wording.

Last ultra sound was this. nodular contour and heterogeneous parenchymal echotexture.

This latest test was worded like this. Somewhat heterogeneous echotexture and slightly nodular contour.
Is this progress or am I reaching hard for a positive outlook? The words "somewhat" and "slightly" stuck out to me. Thanks

What is considered compensated?

Hi 45/m I was diagnosed with decompensated alcoholic cirrhosis last year. Sept 21 to be exact. I had a 10l paracentesis done just once. My meld at the beginning was 27. Sept 17 will be my 1 year of no drinks and will never again. It's been almost 10 months and I wish to never go through this again. It has been an emotional roller coaster for sure. I'm just wandering with my medication and continued lactulose and xifaxan which has kept the HE away i have been feeling just fine except for sustained energy and sleepless nights. All in all I have been doing the best I can with what the drs have told me to do. Keep sodium at or under 1800mg daily eat plenty of protein, walk daily. My last blood work still had my meld around 21 which is a little discouraging though I feel it may be even better now. I started with bilirubin being 9.5 last test was surprisingly only down to 4.2. I see no yellow anywhere at all. My inr started at 2.8 and last test was finally down to 1.9. They say meld dictates compensation but ChatGPT says if your medication is working and no hospital visits that I am compensated. Colonoscopy and endoscopy was good. No banding needed on a few varices and no fluid anywhere or any sign of ascites. How long has it taken anyone out there for their inr and bilirubin to get closer to or at normal levels?
