What a shit birthday 🎂

Okay folks of reddit... first off let me apologise for the following rant, and the terrible grammar you're about to witness.

Now I know that birthdays can be tough. This year though... what a shit show. I've just turned 36 and not a single family member gave a shit due to other unrelated family drama.

Look, I know im on the older side but genuinely speaking... I always thought birthdays are the one day a year where people show you how much you mean to them right?

Its just gone by me and honestly its got me a bit depressed with where my life has ended up.

Nobody acknowledged it, I got a few Facebook posts from friends but not a single phone call or anything from a family member.

Am I the asshole for finding this a bit depressing? Or shall I just realise as a guy it just doesn't mean as much?
