Pixel 7a handset severely swollen and split open to the motherboard—Google Support denied the Extended Repair Program after 5 weeks [UK]

My Pixel 7a handset has severely swollen to the point where the chassis has completely split open and I can see the motherboard. It is an active fire hazard. Reddit is currently blocking my account from uploading the image directly, but I have clear photographic proof of the split frame.

I contacted Google Support, and after dragging the case out for 5 weeks, agent Ced just sent me a generic template rejecting my claim under the Pixel B Performance Program / Extended Repair Program, stating my device is "ineligible" because it is over two years old.

Google’s own official policy for the Pixel 7a Extended Repair Program states that impacted devices with visible swelling are eligible for a replacement or appeasement regardless of warranty status. A phone splitting in half is a catastrophic manufacturing defect, not standard out-of-warranty wear and tear.

I am completely stuck with a dangerous device in my home. Can an official community manager or Product Expert here please escalate my Case ID: 1-2777000041040? I can DM the photo to any moderator or Google representative immediately.
