The story being so cutscene heavy is doing a number on my phone.
I use an iPhone SE and have 7 GB left of storage. Every time I try and play through the story it always crashes when it gets to playing the video.
I try and skip. I put it on auto mode. I lower settings. Still nothing. I’ve even deleted and redownloaded the game. I’ve sent out a ticket and that’s what it said to do.
It just. Keeps. Crashing.
So in Mastermind, we’re introduced to Vassago. He immediately takes Stolas’ side, establishing him as an ally.
As well as that, we’ve seen shots of him in Season 3. So he and Stolas have had a backstory.
One problem. Nothing suggests he and Stolas have had a relationship beforehand.
It’s a Poppy Playtime scenario where a new character is introduced, who has been there from the start, but isn’t seen on screen as the character hasn’t been developed. In fact, if not for seeing the announcement tweet beforehand, casuals would think Vassago shows up out of literally nowhere!
That said, I think it would have been far better if he showed up in Western Energy, towards the end. When Moxxie and Millie are delivering an injured Stolas to the hospital, that would have been a great point to introduce him! They’ve grown distant, but Vassago still cares, and so he showed up out of concern when he heard of Stolas’ predicament.
What do you guys think? Should he have been introduced earlier? Or was his inclusion perfect?
