Is it OK for coolant to stay on “LOW” when cold?

Weird behavior about my 7th gen. I noticed that when my car is cold the coolant is either slightly above/below the “LOW” line and after a drive at normal operating temperature it goes up to “HOT”

I top it up and then within a week or two it reduces back to LOW and stays there again.

I don’t think there is a leak since I would be losing much quicker…who knows? I don’t see any leaks under the car or by the hoses no matter how hard I look.

Is this a normal level for these cars?

Remove Radiator Hose

Hello! I have a 2003 Toyota Celica GT, 1.8L 1ZZ-FE engine and my radiator finally gave out. I’m doing a complete cooling system refresh where I’m changing out the radiator, thermostat, and upper and lower hoses.

Does anyone know how to change the radiator hose that’s next to the battery going into the engine? I think that’s the upper hose.

It’s in a weird spot and I’m not sure I can reach the clamp with pliers. I know to remove the battery for more space, but I’m not sure if I need to move anything else out of the way to make it easier.

Thanks!
