11 years and still waiting
Problem/Goal:
I have a boyfriend, and we’ve been together for 11 years already. I have a stable job, while he’s still waiting for a project, a client, or whatever opportunity comes his way.
I’ve been really confused lately, and I’ve been questioning whether I’m still making the right decisions because, until now, we still don’t have any clear plans for our future.
I asked him about our plans three years ago, but he would always say that we could figure things out once everything was stable. We used to argue about it a lot because he felt like I was putting too much pressure on him. Eventually, I got tired of asking and stopped expecting anything from him.
I know that things aren’t really stable for him yet, but I feel like I’m running out of time waiting for him because I’m already 33. I’m also the one who pays whenever we go on dates because he doesn’t have a source of income right now.
I’m starting to feel anxious and wondering, “What if I turn 35 and we’re still in the same situation?” So many what-ifs keep running through my mind.
