Stressing out for not passing the big 4

Hi, so i just wanna rant as i need to get this off my chest one way or another hahaha

Is it just me or is anyone also stressed for not passing the big 4??. For context i took 3 of the CET in the big 4(UPD, DLSU, UST), i failed 2 of them while i was waitlisted for DLSU, and now that its enrolment season I've been reading some reddit reviews and experiences again, and I've read some that said that some companies will discard your resume or will base the first impression depending on your university. And i understand that but i just get stressed thinking about it, i guess its because im surrounded by people who got accepted to the big 4 or talks very highly about the big 4 which is very understandable.

It just gives me anxiety thinking about what could happened in the future, all the doors that closed just cause i wasnt able to be in this university especially in a saturated field(civil engineering). I know that in the end it will still depend on my perseverance, determination, and skill. Even so, when ever the thought creeps to my head i get very distressed

Again its not like im really obsessed with the big 4 like some are. The university im 90% sure im attending if i didnt get i. DLSU is mapua which is in my opinion still a good uni, but i guess just being surrounded by those who romanticise the big 4 affected my way of thinking about the situation

This might sound stupid to some people but Again, this is just a rant as i just wanna get this off my chest and possibly hear some of your thoughts

Thank you all💝

stats based jobs in CE?

HI POOOO, incoming just wanna ask if there are CE jobs that are heavy or uses stats? because from what i researched mostly nasa geotechnical or transpo engineer siya.

i know some of you may ask na why don't i just go for a stat/cs/math degree. because im not really that DEEP into stats(i know it dosent make sense but i dont know how to explain it). and i really dont wanna let go of my CE dream

to be honest this whole stat thing is like an impulsive thought or something, i am somewhat into stats. cause even though i have done research about CE on this months ago and fully decided that this will be my career, the past day ive been doing some research again and it kinda made me doubt seeing these reviews on CE ahahahaahah.

so i decided to make this career possibly workout is to narrow my future job positions and somewhat branch out of structural or project site and focus geotech or transpo(since like i heard there are stat based jobs there, correct me if im wrong hehehe, Also if ever there is, is the pay good?), plus i think i prefer working on an office type hehehe

ARE THERE GOOD CAREERS OUTSIDE OF STRUCTURAL OR PROJECT SITE?

hi poo, so I'm currently an incoming freshmen in college and ive been thinking of my future, to give some context im gonna be pursuing civil engineering. to be honest i really want to go to structural like really bad thats where my passion is eh, kaso im very well aware na saturated na so much ang structural so mahirap mag hanap ng work or mababa sahod.

so i kinda decided(Not 100% sure pa) na sa ibang branch nalang ako. for now what i have in mind is transpo or geotechnical, im still researching about water resources hehehe

ang iniisip ko ngayon kahit 1 year lang itry ko mag work sa structural, and of that didnt work out i will transfer to a different branch.

im planning nmn talaga mag abroad and kukuha lang talaga ako experience dto, i have a tito who is a CE who works in dubai sinces i was a kid and up to this day he's still there so im assuming the pay is good(tinatanong ko siya minsan about sa sahod don and lagi nyang sinasabi "wag ko muna isipin yun")

so ayun mga ate and kuya i wanna ask if there are good careers in being a CE outside of structural? kase im dead set na on pursuing CE

THATS ALL THANK YOU POO HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME

Hii poo, so i just got my ustet results and i did not meet of the cut off score😭😭 for my main program which is Civil engineering i did not meet the mental ability and math(77) and for my alternative it's just a mental ability that didnt meet the cut off score.

I was wondering if i should still recon this. Is it even worth or even still allowed?? Need insights from my seniors😭🙏
