First sweater 🥳

Hey y'all! A few days ago I finished my first sweater 😍

I'm 1.53m / 5'0" and 48-50kg so finding sweaters that fit is impossible. Sleeves and body are always too long 😭

I got tired of paying knitters and still having fit issues, so I taught myself to knit 2 months ago.

20 days after casting on... it's done and blocked!! 😭😍

It's the free Flax DK pattern and even though it's "basic", to me it felt like sorcery while knitting it, lol 🤣

I made a bunch of mistakes but fixed most, and learned what NOT to do next time 💪🏻 The collar stretched a lot so I used this YouTube trick with a crochet chain + elastic thread inside and it saved it:

Thank you to everyone in this sub who shares knowledge, I learned so much from you all!

Next ones will have twisted rib + better cast on/off. And yes, I will be wearing this every single day 🤣

Hope you like it!

Edit: WOW. You guys made me cry with your beautiful words and compliments, for real, thank you!

Regarding yarn brand , it's "Huanaco" locally produced in Argentina. They do have an international shop I think though, here's their Instagram.

Yarn's colorway is called "Paraje". I can't access the international shop but just in case you end up dming the business and whatnot, here's the link:

Terrazo hat

Today I finished my first ever hat and first time working in the round ☺️

Since I only had aran yarn it end up being a bit too big so I started to decrease earlier and without a knit row in between like the pattern says. I also don't think the extra ribbing look that good after you seam the cast on stitches with the end of the ribbing. but I'm happy with the results overall and it does look very clean for my first attempt imo.

I didn't like working with dpns at all though so I might try to learn magic loop por que next one 🙏🏻

Gifted it to my mom as it was a practice project and I don't really use hats lol. She really liked it 🧡

Thanks all for helping me with purls a week or so ago, my ribbing turned out pretty good thanks to you. ☺️

Twisted rib?

Hey all! Long time lurker 😅. I'm a new self-taught knitter. I started a month and a week ago.

In this time I made two Sophie Shawls and some squares for a blanket and now I'm knitting my first hat in the round.

So, I'm doing the Terrazo hat by petite knit, so far so good, ribbing looks pretty neat even though it's a bit tiring lol... But, the thing is I decided to research twisted stitches and I think my purl stitches might be twisted? Because looking at regular vs twisted rib I think mine look more like the latter?

If so, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. When I first started I used to twist my stitches but since then I think I fixed it? I swear I've seen every twisted stitches video out there and I don't see what I'm doing wrong.

Please let me know what you think or if you need more pics or videos, thank you!

Edit: As asked made a video of me purling, sorry it's so close, was hard to film with no other to film me, hope it helps 🙏🏻

Hey all! So I've been told many things about my eyes, normally they look light brown but they do change a bit with lighting. They're probably hazel brown, even though I have been told they're not hazel cause there isn't any green in them.

The thing is, I have two star shaped brown thingies that start from the pupil and eat half of the eye coloring, in the definition of central heterochromia it says you should have two different eye colors and that they should not blend. I have also been told that those were hazel but not CH, since they blended. I do see two different colors though, a dark brown and a golden brown.

What do you think? These pics were made in direct sunlight, artificial white light and natural indirect warm light.

Thanks!
