Friend/ coworker being weird
I know Im not fucking overthinking this. I have this coworker who I became really good friend with. She’s a woman, she’s so funny and I thought she was a good person. But she’s been acting weird … since forever, It feels like she needs to be in competition with not just me, but every woman around her. Few days ago I told her that my “new crush at work” was the security guy . It’s nothing but a silly crush Im 22 and he’s 32. But he’s nice and cute so I like to talk with him . Since the day I told her that, she’s been hanging with him more often, which I do not care because he is really nice and I’ll be crushing one someone else next week. One day, she told him that I said that he was cute and since that moment she’s making every interaction I have with him awkward. Yesterday, while I was working she said something like “ I told him to not look at my ass because I know he will. Dont be jealous Im not trying to steal your man” And I kid u not I was too stunned to speak. WE ARE 22 yo WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!
This is some high school behavior Jesus.
One day she will tell me he said that I was cute and the minute I start to smile she will hit me with a “ No but he didn’t say it like that calm down”
I don’t know how to handle this situation. I don’t understand why she’s being so rude. It’s like she’s trying to prove that whoever Im attracted to, she will always be the first choice. Because yeah, it’s not the first time she’s doing that.
Does that ever happened to you? How do you handle these type of people ?! I stopped talking to the security guard and he kinda noticed that I was avoiding him but I don’t think this is the right approach…
