Advice for blocking a hair piece for a doll made with blended cotton acrylic yarn

Hi, I have never blocked any of my work till now. I am now working with a blended cotton acrylic yarn on a hair piece for a doll. It looks like a it may need blocking. Any suggestions for how do it without having to purchase blocking board?
