How long is a bankruptcy on file? (And other fun inquiries)
I filed for bankruptcy and have come out the other side. Now successfully rebuilding credit, even got a mortgage this year.
My Date Filed was October 01, 2019 and my Disposition Date was July 01, 2021. The dates are different between Credit Karma and Borrowell for some reason but only a couple days difference!
Just curious when I can expect to see it officially gone from my credit report? Some say 6 years, some say 7, and is from the filing date or disposition date?
Also, what kind of jump can I expect when it’s actually gone?
Currently have $29K available in credit cards/line of credit. Not a high credit usage at 1-5 percent. 100% of payments on time. Mortgage and Car loan. And unfortunately quite a few hard inquiries (16).
Credit score currently sitting at 714 on one site and 749 on the other site. Would love to see 800 or more!
Any insight helpful.
