It’s about time this nova bus is on my home route it’s been on the c55 before but never to union station! so I guess it’s my lucky night. I’m just disappointed That Wmata only order 5 of these which we got the 60 footers and more of these but unfortunately that’s not the case wish we were more diverse fleet ( no knock To new flyer) but a man can dream

Not a good pic but I love these new Xe40s that come from Shepard parkway the c51 bus number 1047 is so quiet and cool wish they run them often tbh but I can’t wait for Wmata to order more in the future now the only problem I have with these busses and the 2023 Xd40s are the usb ports they USB a and not C and if you have a iphone 15 and up your screwed but other than That no issues just run them more Wmata

This is the old 70/71 line so what I’m suggesting is a new route as the D42 or the C55 reroute. have the current C55 run to Georgia ave and down to buzzard point every 20 minute as a frequent c55 rider the bus sucks I need wmata to see this and plan something for next summer because us folks down buzzard point need bus access as well. if folks need to get to navy yard or eastern market the c11 and c53 are available we have no access from Sw to Nw by metrobus at all at daytime i know its alot but it’s not much tbh and every 20 min can prevent a lot of bus bunching tbh so that’s all I have to say

lol do Wmata hate the C55 this is happen again for this 9:00 bus like why must the bus run every 45 - 60 min at this time the 8:30 bus is gone so 9:00 is cancelled so 9:30 is the only option we have to wait a hour for the next bus is ridiculous. I honestly wished Wmata said fuck the circulator and leave it up to DDOT because it’s honestly unacceptable at this point
This is the 5th time this week where I have been ghosted by the C55 it’s like it senses when I have to get off work In Brightwood and head to eastern market I have to wait 45 min for the next one and its ridiculous. I’m still pissed off that the old 74 took the old Em Lp and US circulator route. i just wished Wmata did things like having the D40 extend to waterfront maybe even navy yard and up to silver spring or have the C55 run from buzzard point to pethworth something to connect Sw Dc and Nw Dc besides metro need better planing next time metro but something has to give with this C55 please
this a video of the old 70 taking the east west highway route while the new transit center was being built pre 2015 I believe. I have a suggestion. when the purple line opens up 2027 should the D40 route take E. West Highway to reduce traffic at Wayne and georgia because that’s light takes forever sometimes I feel as though the D4X and D40 can take east west highway northbound and southbound for more easy access to and from Georgia ave
Ya know what those Xe40s are growing on me I really starting to like them. I just wish they had them run more regularly then on the Se routes sometimes even though it’s there main garage but I also think wmata placed an order in for some more in the coming future. all I want to know is where are the 2026 XDE40s I know 7 have been delivered just wanna know when they will hit revenue service? I also like the nova busses haven’t seen them lately and where are the XE60s anyways thats my rant for today any idea when we see more new busses on the street
as seen in this pic above new york MTA got there first R211 on the D Line on july first and it makes me wonder has WMATA ever done anything like this. like for example we have to play wheres Waldo for the new busses and trains and I was thinking when the 8000 series cars debut will it be like new 8000 car on the red line etc or brand new 2026 XDE40 on the P60 etc .. it’s like why doesn’t Wmata lets us when can we see or expect the new vehicles to be in service it’s always a guessing game and I hate that … just a lil rant and speaking of new vehicles where the hell are the 2026 XDE40s . What’s taking so long to be delivered and in revenue service 😕

currently on my way to work and i just happen to see this DE62Lfa training bus down navy yard and man it reminded me how much I actually enjoyed these busses growing up on the 70(D40) line.they were retired in 2020 but seeing this makes me wished we kept them a little longer
currently on the D10 bus #7184 towards Kennedy center the ac does not work at all. Wmata please fix these Ac issues before the actually summer starters especially on those Xd40s its 95 today and this bus feel likes toaster! smh wmata do better
in my opinion Wmata has a slow process of entering there new busses into service. Here is the new XHE60 flash bus the first of its kind in Ride on‘s history. it makes me wonder why didn’t Wmata try the hydrogen route also since northern won’t open until 2029 NW DC may not even see any xe60s xe40s and novas until 2030 anyways
