New iPad or drawing tablet/Wacom Cintiq?

Hi so I’m looking for opinions on what kind of new drawing medium I should get. I’m bad at making decisions myself and I want to hear other people’s thoughts or experiences with either medium.

I previously had an iPad that had a good run, almost ten years, but it’s stopped working in certain parts of the screen so it’s obviously made drawing hard.

I’m debating whether to get a new iPad or invest in a drawing tablet. The one I was recommended was the Wacom Cintiq 16. I’m only familiar with Procreate as it’s all that I’ve been using, however I don’t want to use Procreate for the rest of my life. I got a cheap drawing pad on Amazon and briefly used it in combination with Krita but I found the projection onto my monitor uncomfortable, I’d prefer to draw directly onto a screen. Any opinions or advice are welcome. Thank you.
