What are your thoughts on the Swiss' rejection of a 10m population cap?

The Swiss population just rejected a popular initiative with 55% at the ballot box which aimed to cap its population at 10 million by 2050 (currently at 9.1m). I am interested how this outcome is perceived among Singaporeans since there have been similar ongoing discussions about this here (ever since the white paper but especially PM Wong's recent remarks come to mind). I am also curious from what political angles you interpret this issue since the Swiss vote was initiated by a far-right party aiming to reduce the foreign population. Do you see similar issues regarding xenophobia or do you have a different take? How would you have voted if this had taken place in Singapore?

Edit: yes, there are size differences (you don't have to keep copy pasting that fact) but note that most of Swiss land isn't inhabitable and Swiss cities are comparable in density. Geneva is literally more dense than Singapore.
