Former Columbia parking manager charged after allegedly stealing $45K from city
The craziest thing about this story, he had a previous local conviction for the SAME THING:
>Faup was convicted of stealing in 2013, when he stole money from University of Missouri parking enforcement while an employee there, according to the probable cause statement.
Does Columbia not conduct background checks when hiring? And if they were aware of the previous charges and decided to hire him in this role anyway, wouldn’t they establish some procedures to guard against it happening again?
This reads like, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me…"
