How to Fight Blankstare
Blankstare is a killer that heavily punishes not playing with your team and not doing his stupid totems, so heres some tips on how to fight him so hopefully the blankstare main population drops!
Harassers
- Harassers are Users that excel at harassing Blankstares totems, these users usually excel in chase and have ways to mitigate blankstares siphon.
Roflpix is an excellent harasser as they can speed away from Blankstare if they try to teleport to their totem, however they aren't as good if blankstare places all 3 totems close together.
Dante is also good at harassing the totems as quick swing gives him alot of safety, wingbeat is better used to save someone else from siphon.
Vinnie can easily block siphon and blankstares m1 due to the insane amount of linger his hitboxes have, punch also giving you i-frames makes vinnie quite helpful.
Crafter has sword swipe which is basically just quick swing again, you should save minecart for if blank uses siphon as its pretty easy to line it up in such a way that blankstare goes flying far away.
Remember; if Blankstare tries to do ANYTHING, harass his totems; he'll most likely drop whatever hes doing to protect them if they know how blankstare works.
- Saviors are users who counter siphon directly in a strong way.
Mikaelas Charged Snipe is the best way to counter Blankstare trying to get a siphon off, just land the stun as soon as they grab someone and you deny them any value.
Nyan doesn't stop Blank from getting experience, but she helps offset the insane damage that Siphon does, potentially denying what would've been a kill confirm.
Kit can deny Blankstare from hitting the user while hes siphoning them, results do vary though.
[Remember, denying Siphon is always worth it, if Blankstare is Siphoning someone, get off a totem and go stun him unless someone else is already doing so.]
RAGE MODE TIPS;
Keep your distance from Blankstare as much as possible, he loses the ability to teleport so spreading out and forcing him to come to you is more efficient.
Time your revives if going for them, wait for Blankstare to get close and then revive to get maximum value from the revive i-frames [This mainly applies if Blankstare is trying to confirm a kill and is staying near the body to guard it.] (this goes for most killers honestly)
Dont stun Blankstare unless you need to use i-frames to avoid damage or you can deal knockback that hinders him significantly.
Abuse the hell out of springs, its very hard for rage mode blankstare to actually hit you when you use springs to juke.
OTHER TIDBITS
Blankstare can only enter ragemode once per match.
The timer goes half as fast when ragemode is active, and how long ragemode lasts is dependant on how many totems are up, which is why destroying them is so important.
If you let Blankstare have 3 totems up before he enters ragemode, you're quite likely to lose unless you play the best stalling game of your life.
Limewire is fundamentally flawed as a Ranged Killer
Now to clarify; I am in no way calling Limewire bad, quite the opposite infact, Limewire is overpowered because of one simple ability, that being Torrential Leap.
The main problem with Torrential Leap is the fact it gives a killer whose whole main draw is being a ranged killer, and it gives them insane mobility with basically no drawbacks whatsoever.
Moreover; Torrential Leap simply does too many things for being one ability it does the following things
- Deals up to 85 damage just for landing it
- Gives Aura Reading on ALL survivors for an admittedly short duration.
- Gives INSANE mobility with no endlag and only a 2 second cooldown before he can start attacking again.
All of that on a 17 SECOND COOLDOWN.
Torrential Leap is BUSTED and should be the main thing that either gets replaced outright or severely nerfed as it incentivizes Limewire to play as a rushdown killer more than a ranged killer.
Kit vs Terminators Tierlist
I honestly dont really have the energy to try and explain the placements, just know it has to do with the maps and the fact kit dies in one singular hit, this guy isnt designed to be good
Roflpix vs Terminators Tierlist
Hot takes inbound, Roflpix is actually REALLY fucking good at surviving when you play them well, this tierlist is especially considering LMS considering thats where Roflpix really shines.
Counters
Blankstare; Rofl is a fantastic counterpick to blankstare as they basically force blankstare to camp his totems if he wants to have 3 totems by the time he can use ragemode, Blankstare doesn't really have an answer for movement opportunity, allowing Rofl to EASILY loop the guy if the map has loop spots, or atleast stall for an absurd amount of time.
Partypwny; Partypwny is basically forced to use charge to catch back up, but due to the endlag upon hitting a wall, she can struggle to actually keep up with the robot, especially since they can replenish their power by taking pictures of her as she tries to catch back up, and again...she cant do anything about rofl on certain maps.
Sweep; Do I really need to explain why Sweep struggles against rofl? They have the slowest movenent speed and literally no movement options.
Jack Noir; Jack is at the bottom of counters for a very good reason; Behead, if Jack Noir can land behead on Rofl they MAY have a chance of beating them, however if they can't then Rofl will easily be able to outpace him.
Strong Picks
Blockboy; You can abuse loop spots, but if theres more than one you're probably fucked
Struggles
DotX; DotX literally just has a move that near instantly closes any distance Rofl can make while dealing damage to him, not to mention the runspeed
Limewire; LIME HAS A GUN
Pursuitcore if Blankstare didnt exist
I hate blankstare
Limewire is overpowered.
I'm here to convince you that Limewire is overpowered as hell.
Torrential Leap, this is by and far his most broken ability, it gives him insane mobility, indicates all users, and deals 25 dmg upon landing on a survivor...except it actually deals 55 since it ragdolls the survivor allowing Limewire to land an additional m1 on the survivor, this shit needs to be nerfed asap it does too much on too low a cd.
Limelock, honestly this ability isn't that bad, I dont really like the fact it deals 10 dmg with how easy it is to land plus the excessive 8 seconds of aura reading, should have a higher cooldown or have a little more windup to make it harder to land.
LIMEWIRE BUSTER/Hook, this move is fine, I wouldn't really change anything about it.
M1 Hitbox, with how mobile limewire is, his hitbox being as big as it is... its quite questionable, i'd either make it more reasonably sized or reduce his m1 damage to 20-25.
Whose the most problematic killer and why?
In my opinion its Blankstare
Not because hes op, but simply because hes not a fun killer to engage with on several levels.
His m1 gives him free distance, this is problematic as it makes him better than any other killer at catching up (catchup abilities typically have decent cooldowns to balance the killer out, blankstare has like, 3 catchup moves, spectate, teleport and his m1.
Siphon should not give blankstare I-frames, it leads to many unfair interactions...and then theres the damage this thing does to a lone survivor, even in lms this does consistently 40-60 dmg for an ability thats easier to hit than an m1, this ability should factor in how many survivors there are and make it so you break free slower/faster as a result.
Totems increasing his m1 damage is such bs, as it makes an already oppresive killer even MORE oppresive.
Rage Mode is not a fun game mechanic; rage mode invalidates stunners and makes the guy even more irritating to deal with, especially since in most lobbies its inevitably gonna happen once.
THIS VISUALIZER IS SO COOL
I love Astranovas music sm
Mikaela vs Terminator Tierlist
This is a tierlist that shows how strong (in my opinion) Mikaela is against each terminator.
Counter = Mikaela counters them in some way significantly
Strong Pick = Doesn't counter, but still performs pretty well on average.
50/50 = Really depends on the map.
Struggles = Has a hard time against this terminator most of the time.
Give me some of your best Blankstare slander!
In all honesty I've just been having a really hard time against this particular killer and wanna see if people share the same vitriol for this killer as I do.
Monika is problematic as a survivor.
Generally speaking I dont think all of her abilities are bad, but disabling springs is too strong of an effect with little to no counterplay
Yes, the killer can use a mobility option to get up to high ground (besides Yuri.), but its not that hard to knock a killer off the high ground or simply retreat to the lower ground to bait them into chasing you back down before using the spring to bounce back up again.
Generally speaking this specific part of the ability should be changed or outright removed due to it just being unhealthy for the games balance, it adds no real depth or complexity to the game besides being a massive middle finger to the killer for even daring to be in a Monikas presence.
The game is frustrating as hell
I'm a relatively newer player and I just cant seem to find any level of enjoyment from this game whatsoever; playing as survivor just means I get curbstomped and playing as killer sees me being unable to land an m1 90% of the time and getting stunlocked too hell, I really think the game would benefit from having less frustrating movement in general; alot of abilities don't feel great to use or are really easy to accidentally misuse
Game overall is just really frustrating, I don't think I'll be playing for a long while until its more polished
Minions should not be able to cancel Fukasukis healing
It makes zombies too good at disrupting supports which they should not be able to do.
Mikaela in PTB
The Sniper Rifle seems to be bugged, you cant land a stun with it at all.
How 2 fight every killer as Mikaela (and win)
Important Notes
- Mikaela is a ranged stunner, try to avoid chase whenever possible, make yourself scarce when on cooldown and make killers have to make a time commitment to get to where you are (sometimes not possible depending on killer.)
-Smokebomb doesn't make you completely invisible, and only hides your aura if you use it before the killer uses an aura reading ability (even im not sure how accurate this actually is), with that in mind you can use smokebomb if you predict the killer is going to aura read, or if you're in chase to make the killer have to guess where you went, either way smokebomb isn't consistent but theres ways to increase your odds of success.
Ledge/Spring Shots: These are the best times for Mikaela stun, when the killer can be knocked off the high ground, or out of the air after using a spring, this will waste a ton of their time and potentially save the life of your teammates.
Charge/Uncharged Shots: Charged shots have more knockback making them more viable for helping your team, but uncharged shots are near instant making them good at interrupting killer abilities or knocking them back after they use a spring.
Killers
Partypwny: Partypwny is a tricky killer for Mikaela to fight, since smokebomb becomes even more of a gamble than it usually is due to how it works, generally keep your distance, if you have good timing try to predict when pwny is most likely going to charge (trying to land it right when they use it is incredibly difficult.)
DotX: AVOID AT ALL COSTS, if dotx gets into a chase with you you're most likely going to die unless you get lucky and shake them off with smokebomb, try to bait their counter with the rifle if they're counterhappy, try to shoot them out of spindash if you have good aim or shoot them after to make distance when applicable.
Blankstare: Save your snipe for when they use siphon on a teammate, denying them siphon is an incredibly effective way to use your ability, try to pester their totems while they're in chase...(granted this is risky and another stunner is more suited to do this.) Try your best to not get isolated against this guy if you can help it.
Sweep: You counter this guy, interrupt his abilities when you can, or just stun him at every opportunity you get, either way stunning them is likely going to stall them significantly.
Limewire: Pretty 50/50, you can interrupt his abilities, but he can leap to you within a moments notice, my advice is to interrupt his abilities, wait a couple seconds and then smokebomb before he uses torrential leap, this will usually make it signifcantly harder to actually find you, as his leap is tied to his aura reading, also just try to hide your presence until your about to stun him.
Jack Noir: Uhhh...you're usually gonna be the farthest target from him, so you'll likely get teleported to alot, this can actually be a good thing and a bad thing, if its pwnyville just stand on the edge of the map and wait for him to tp with your rifle charged and you can stun him off the map, effectively wasting his teleport (especially at the start of the round.) Generally speaking you should save your snipe for when hes ontop of someone or just hit them with eldritch tentacles, this'll most likely aggravate the hell out of him and deny him alot of value.
Blockboy: Hide and pray to god smokebomb is enough for them to lose you
My Terminator Tierlist
Before I get into it, this is ranking them in a standard game of Pursuitcore.
S Tier
Limewire: This guy is absolutely busted, only really having one bad map (mall my beloathed) hes incredibly good at keeping up the pressure and punishing misplays with his ranged abilities and closing the distance with leap, I personally think he needs longer cooldowns overall.
DotX: Hes hard carried by his movement speed and spindash, it makes it really easy for him to tunnel one person out at a time.
A Tier
Partypwny: The fact she can deal up to 80 dmg in one combo is enough to justify this placement, overall shes one of the more versatile killers in the roster, charge is incredibly useful, kick is terrifying due to the threat of instakilling users on their second life.
Blankstare: My least favorite killer to go against, this guy is the small lobby pubstomper, once you get more than 4 survivors its basically impossible to get good siphon value and keep your totems up.
B Tier
Jack Noir: This guy isn't as overpowered as people *think* he is, his aura reading is locked behind a teleport that he can be stunned immediately after coming out of, and it always teleports you to the farthest survivor...this means that survivors can relatively easily manipulate where you'll teleport should you decide to do so, this fact alone makes pwnyville his worst map, not to mention how hard a decent vinnie counters him.
C Tier
Sweep: Incredibly map dependant, team comp dependent, and skill intensive, sweep gets bullied by any team thats atleast decent at the game.
My Survivor Tierlist
Before we get into it, this is ranking the survivors in a standard game of Pursuitcore.
S Tier
Nyan Cat: What is there to say really? Shes the dedicated healer of the team who also has decent survivability with her speedboost from tartshare and her slides i-frames.
Fukatsuki: Another support who does so, so much for the team when played competently, lucky cat and rabbit buffs aid the team in basically every situation.
Dante: The best stunner in the game, quick swing is one of the easier abilities to land, and wingbeat is one of the most versatile stuns in the game, even being able to be used as mobility in a pinch.
A Tier
Tac9: Admittedly, I dont have much playtime on this character, but their kit provides quite alot of offensive utility, dropkick being a very strong stun/mobility tool, and skullbuster extending stuns means tac9 should almost always be a consideration at the very least.
Vinnie: Vinnie is a very strong character that demands alot of skill and game knowledge from the person playing him, block is so good at denying certain killer abilities that hes in this tier for that reason alone, the only reason hes not in s-tier is because he has bad matchups, notably against limewire.
Mikaela: Mikaela lives and dies by the map and her positioning and aim, if you're on a map that suits her playstyle you can relentlessly bully the killer with 2.5 second stuns from across the map at every opportunity you get, where she really shines is the knockback from said shot pushing terminators off of ledges and away from her retreating teammates, and intelligent use of the smokebomb make her incredibly difficult to track and catch...if its a bad map she tends to struggle though.
Crafter: Theoretically a really strong survivor, but if the killer simply doesn't let you get that strong in the first place you're cooked.
D Tier
Roflpix: I loathe this character, I wont hide it, Roflpix does have *some* useful things he can do, mainly genrushing and revealing the killers location...but thats about it really, his stalling isn't that strong against 5 of the 6 killers...overall hes really bad in a team comp and I think he should be changed to be more useful.
Kit: Do I really need to explain? 15 HP and one life.
