Thoughts on the Kakwa

I feel like this bag ticks so many boxes but I’m going to hold onto my current backpack for now.

What I love:
- the U shaped frame
- I LOVE the shoulder strap pockets for water bottles and storage
- back comfort (from reviews)
- the hidden side pocket
- the durability
- the hip belt pockets
- the price

What I’m not crazy about:
- front pocket aesthetics & I prefer stretch mesh functionality also
- side pocket depth (I know the compression straps are good for poles, but I just love tall pockets).
- lack of rubbish pocket underneath (not a deal breaker)
- more colour options, even if it’s just the cordage

What do you guys think? I think it’s awesome but will wait and see.

P.S: I tried X-Dome 2 sold this weekend. Loved the tent

Double layer door?

Hi Dan,

Would you ever release a version of the x-dome solid inner that has a double layer door (one mesh & one fabric)?

I’ve got the X-Dome 2 solid and would love that feature. It would mean the solid version could work in hot areas well and you could just dump heat through both doors without letting flies in.

I know it would add weight and complexity, but if that inner became available I’d pick one up.

This is basically what most people are loosely trying to replicate on this sub (human development index)

Exceptions include e.g. Saudi Arabia/ Isreal if you do not agree on moral terms
