Lucifer

One more I like how they contextualized Lucifer in the show despite how the real world views him. They didn’t just make him this pure evil character with no depth. They gave him his own perspective, emotions, and reasons for the way he is, and you actually get to see how much of his personality comes from feeling abandoned and misunderstood. It makes you look at the character completely differently.

Maze

Am I the only one who feels like Maze had it the worst out of pretty much everyone before she and Eve got together?

She was abandoned by Lilith, spent basically her entire existence in Hell, followed Lucifer out because he was pretty much her family, and then constantly dealt with the fear of being abandoned again. On top of that, she spent so much of the series trying to figure out who she even was outside of being a demon.

I feel like a lot of Maze’s anger and bad decisions came from that loneliness and abandonment. Then Eve comes along and Maze finally gets someone who genuinely accepts her for who she is.

Maybe I’m overlooking someone else’s story, but Maze’s backstory honestly feels like one of the saddest to me. What do y’all think?
