Tila at Pia
Hi! Sharing my recent artwork.

Tila at Pia are inspired by two special cats that have been part of my life. Tila (the meowmaid on the left) is inspired by a cat I lost years ago. After the passing of my first dog named Patchie the first (2nd photo), who had a condition called heterochromia, Tila came into my life out of nowhere (I don't have her pic😢).

I wasn't sure if someone else owned her, but I always made sure she was taken care of every time she was at our home. Though I didn't get the chance to truly bond with her because I was still suffering from the heartache of losing my first furbaby, I still couldn't shake off the fact that she had the exact same condition as my dog and they even shared the same coloring. Coincidence? I don't think so.
Their left eyes were both blue and their right eyes were orange, kaya ganyan din ang color ng artwork. One day, she simply stopped coming to our house. I tried to look for her, but unfortunately, I never saw her again.

The second meowmaid (on the right) is inspired by my sister's cat, Mingming (3rd photo). She is lovely but very, veeeery makulit. I still remember her giving birth in the crawl space of our kitchen, and it took us days before we were finally able to safely reach the kittens so we could take proper care of them. I was super stressed that time kasi nilagay niya yung mga kuting sa far end ng space, where daga at sila lang ang kasya. Iyak nang iyak yung mga anak niya and I couldn't help but glare at pagalitan si Mingming everytime na lalabas siya ng lungga without her babies. I'd reprimand and call her "pusangina" because I was so angry. Hahaha. Good old days.

I'm sorry sa mahabang kwento. I really love telling the stories behind my artworks and share how they are connected to my life. Thank you for reading!
