Guess I’m all in now! Arch + KDE Plasma

Been running Linux for a minute but never ran Arch on my main workstation, always had PopOS! for the gaming but wasn’t feeling the Cosmic Desktop, so I went full Arch KDE which I’ve been daily driving on my Thinkpad. Arch +KDE is the way for me now, it’s so clear!

In 2026, where performative social media wouldn’t be the same without another “eco-friendly” overpriced and overhyped product, welcome the Framework Laptop “pro”.

It’s bad enough that it’s funded by LinusTechTips, even worse Nirav Pate can’t stop comparing their latest model to Apple Mac, calling it the “MacBook Pro for Linux users”

The concept is not bad, don’t get me wrong but the execution is trash. All they do is try and copy Apple style, comparing every feature to the MacBook. It’s like ok, good for you but if I wanted a Mac, I’d just buy one. If I want to run Linux I’ll get a Thinkpad for a fraction of the cost. And either way, intel? Talk about losing the plot.

Is it me or is tech as out of touch as it was in the early 90s/late 80s? Next apple will start making printers again and Framework would blindly follow right behind them. It’s sad that the days of actual technology and hardware innovation has fizzled into this shit. Anyway, point is, get a Mac cause Framework and most of these companies are a joke. Thanks for attending my TedTalk!
